ASTM D 2843 Smoke density tester for building materials is used to measure the static smoke density of building materials under the test conditions of combustion or decomposition. The principle is to use the flame to directly impact the sample, and the smoke density grade (SDR) is determined by the transmittance of shielding light, namely the loss of light flux in the test chamber. The equipment is mainly used in the determination of static smoke production of building materials and products as well as automotive interior materials.


Smoke Density Tester consists of

· Split design, independent control chamber, reduce the impact of experimental heat on parts, improve service life.

· The smoke chamber door is installed with transparent toughened glass door for easy observation and testing. The smoke chamber door latch device is designed for easy locking and sealing.

· The back of the smoke chamber is equipped with an EXIT label with red letters on a white background and a backlight device for visibility inspection after the smoke is generated inside the box.

· Standard main and auxiliary burners, brass, gas nozzle aperture 0.13mm, mixing device can fully mix gas and air, produce fully burning jet flame.

· High pressure pulse automatic ignition, ignition stability and reliability, high security.

· Sample tray, wire mesh for sample mounting, tapered collection tray for combustion drips for secondary combustion. All fixtures are made of stainless steel with high temperature resistance and long service life.

· The sample device can be quickly sent to the fire position after the flame is stabilized by the push rod and automatically timed. The reversible mechanism can dump the sample residue into the water tray at the bottom of the box to extinguish the fire after the test is completed.

· Equipped with two sets of main and auxiliary gas supply system, equipped with solenoid valve, pressure regulating valve, pressure gauge and other accessories, to provide stable gas for the burner, to ensure the stable combustion of the burner.

· Air is provided for combustion by air compressor or compressed air and adjusted by imported rotor flowmeter.

· The light source device is composed of imported bulb + reflective device. The light source is converted into parallel light beam through the test chamber by lens.

· By imported silicon optical amplifier, grating and other devices to transform the optical signal changes into electrical signals and output.

· The accuracy of the optical path can be calibrated with a standard filter.

· Computer + professional software control, guided operation, easy to operate safe and reliable.

· Can automatically collect, calculate, save, and output reports, display real-time data and smoke density curve/historical curve and data display and query.
